NURS3500: Acute Maternal/Child Nursing

This course focuses on the care of the pre-natal client and family, the birth process, newborn, and acute pediatric care. Assessment and evidence-based interventional nursing care of the childbearing family and families with children. Students will apply course content to caring for families, infants, and children in the acute care setting. This course is linked to NURS3500L. Students must successfully master the competencies required in both courses in order to progress in the nursing program as outlined in the BSN Student Handbook.
