NURS3310: Acute Care III

The student will be introduced to trauma and ICU levels of care. Critical thinking leading to clinical judgement in complex health encounters will include application of evidence-based practice and management of critical health conditions in high-acuity settings. Student's clinical work will include practice within a Team model of nursing, tele-medicine, and multidisciplinary collaboration. This course has a required clinical component. The student must register for a section of NURS3310L along with this didactic course. The didactic (NURS3310) course is linked to the clinical component (NURS 3310L). Both must be successfully completed to progress through the nursing program (please refer to the BSN Student Handbook for specific progression requirements).
