This course provides a foundation in population health including assessment and health intervention for culturally diverse and vulnerable populations and local communities. Students will apply concepts of epidemiology to community health events. Students will apply principles of disaster response. The student must register for a section of NURS3220L along with this didactic course. The didactic (NURS3220) course is linked to the clinical component (NURS 3220L). Both must be successfully completed to progress through the nursing program (please refer to the BSN Student Handbook for specific progression requirements). (3 credits) Fee: Additional fee required.
