Clinical judgement skills are the bread and butter of nursing skill and expertise. This introduction to acute care course examines the components of clinical judgement for managing care for the patient/client with one medical diagnosis. The student will gain competency in clinical judgement skills to ensure safe, quality nursing care that is patient-centered, evidence-based, and inter-professionally collaborative. This course has a required clinical component. The student must register for a section of NURS3110L along with this didactic course. The didactic (NURS3110) course is linked to the clinical component (NURS 3110L). Both must be successfully completed to progress through the nursing program (please refer to the BSN Student Handbook for specific progression requirements).
