This course is a Lab component linked to the NURS2000 didactic course. It is designed to provide hands-on learning activities in which students will be required to demonstrate mastery in the application of concepts related to the nursing health assessment that are taught in NURS2000. A variety of hands on learning modalities may be used in a lab setting. Students must successfully master the competencies required in both NURS2000 and NURS2000L (as outlined in the BSN Student Handbook). If competencies in either one of these components (NURS2000 or NURS2000L) are not met, the entire set both NURS2000 and NURS2000L must be completed successfully before the student qualifies to progress in the nursing program. This is a pass/fail course.
