NURS3020L: Mental Health Nursing: Clinical/SIM/Lab

This course is a Clinical/SIM/Lab component linked to the NURS3020 didactic course. It is designed to provide hands-on learning activities in which students will be required to demonstrate mastery in the application of concepts related to the nursing management of mental health and advanced therapeutic communication techniques that are taught in NURS3020. As the title suggests, a variety of hands on learning modalities may be used including clinical, simulation, and/or lab. Students must successfully master the competencies required in both NURS3020 and NURS3020L (as outlined in the BSN Student Handbook). If competencies in either one of these components (NURS3020 or NURS3020L) are not met, the entire set both NURS3020 and NURS3020L must be completed successfully before the student qualifies to progress in the nursing program. This is a pass/fail course.
