NURS3200L: Chronic Care II: Clinical/SIM/Lab

This course is a Clinical/SIM/Lab component linked to the NURS3200 didactic course. It is designed to provide hands-on learning activities in which students will be required to demonstrate mastery in applying concepts related to the care of the patient/client with mental health co-morbidities and advanced therapeutic communication skills. As the title suggests, a variety of hands-on learning modalities may be used, including clinical, simulation, and/or lab. Students must successfully master the competencies required in both NURS3200 and NURS3200L. If competencies in either of these components are not met, the entire set must be repeated successfully before the student qualifies to progress in the nursing program as outlined in the BSN Student Handbook. This is a pass/fail course.
