NURS4000L: Medical Surgical Nursing, Complex Health Needs: Clinical/SIM/Lab

This course is a Clinical/SIM/Lab component linked to the NURS40000 didactic course. It is designed to provide hands-on learning activities in which students will be required to demonstrate mastery in the application of concepts related to the nursing management of complex acute conditions that are taught in NURS4000. As the title suggests, a variety of hands on learning modalities may be used including clinical, simulation, and/or lab. Students must successfully master the competencies required in both NURS4000 and NURS4000L (as outlined in the BSN Student Handbook). If competencies in either one of these components (NURS4000 or NURS4000L) are not met, the entire set both NURS4000 and NURS4000L must be completed successfully before the student qualifies to progress in the nursing program. This is a pass/fail course.
