The student will be introduced to critical/high acuity levels of care. Critical thinking leading to clinical judgment in complex health encounters will include applying evidence-based practice and managing critical health conditions in high-acuity settings (ICU, ED, Trauma, and so forth). Students' clinical work will include practice within a team model of nursing, telemedicine, and multidisciplinary collaboration. This course has a required clinical component. The student must register for NURS3310L along with this didactic course. Both must be successfully completed to progress through the nursing program as outlined in the BSN Student Handbook.
