NURS4010: Nursing of Diverse Populations in the Community

Provides a foundation in population health. This course includes assessment, intervention and evaluation of culturally diverse and vulnerable populations. Service learning is a required component of this course. The students will learn the environmental influences upon the health of populations. This is a hybrid course delivery. This course has a required clinical component. The student must register for a section of NURS4010L along with this didactic course. The didactic (NURS4010) course is linked to the clinical component (NURS 4010L). Both must be successfully completed to progress through the nursing program (please refer to the BSN Student Handbook for specific progression requirements).
