NURS2005: Fundamentals of Nursing

This course focuses on the application of critical thinking through use of a clinical judgement framework. It integrates concepts from course prerequisites in the development and implementation of individualized plans of care for clients/patients based on the principles of evidence-based practice. The student will learn basic interventions, medical administration, and critical nursing skills. This course has a required lab component. The student must register for a section of NURS2005L along with this didactic course. The didactic (NURS2005) course is linked to the lab component (NURS 2005L). Both must be successfully completed to progress through the nursing program (please refer to the BSN Student Handbook for specific progression requirements).  (4 credits) Fee: Additional fee required.
