NURS2000: Health Assessment

The focus of this course will be health assessment through the gathering of subjective and objective data through interview and physical examination of the adult client. An introduction to clinical judgement, professional communication skills and documentation related to health assessment will be presented. Older adult, pediatric, and cultural considerations will be addressed for each body system.  This course has a required lab component. The student must register for a section of NURS2000L along with this didactic course. The didactic (NURS2000) course is linked to the lab component (NURS2000L). Both must be successfully completed to progress through the nursing program (please refer to the BSN Student Handbook for specific progression requirements).  (3 credits) Fee: Additional fee required.
