Objective: Students who graduate with this minor will receive an introduction to the field of philosophy, be able to relate elements of its historical development, and recognize and apply principles of sound reasoning.
Requirements (15 credits):
PHIL2010. Introduction to Philosophy (3); or
PHIL2020. Ethics (3)
PHIL3080. Critical Reasoning (3)
Nine elective credits in philosophy (excluding PHIL3080. Clinical Ethics), of which at least 5 shall be upper division, in consultation with and approved by the chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religion.
